• Re: Fuel Consumption
Heavier rollers. When you have someone with a scooter like this who may use it more on the highway than around town they will often go up on the roller weight to make it a better cruiser. Trade off is accelleration.
What is the standard weight of the rollers...
• Re: Review SYM Citycom 300i

Yes it seems to make things complicated there are a Kiwiscoot and a Kiwiscoota here in Christchurch. I don't know Kiwiscoota. I've been known on other scooter forums as Kiwiscoot, so I'll just stay with that. There should not be any confusion with posts from the photo in my signature.

Service interval is 3000kms as per owner's manual. I'll be doing mine every 1500ks, cheap enough with only about 1.1l of oil required. No oil filter on these, just a screen strainer.
• Re: A Happy Nexus Sunday…..

Hi guys! I´m a newcomer on this site and this is my first mail. I have a Nexus 500, too and must say it´s a wonderfull scooter, although I have a dream of GP800 for it´s greater power. I´m just absolutely jealous reading a happy ride the sun shining and birds singing, the sky is blue and the grass is...
• Aprilia unveils the new SportCity Cube 250

Caught this story on Motorcycle-USA.com today, though I should have heard it from their marketing company Brandware. Jeff, where's the love? The SCOOTER scoop looses the scoop to MOTORCYCLE-USA? *sigh* So an update to the very popular, sexy and hard to find Aprilia SportCity 250 is expected soon...

• Kuroneko gets his hands on a Suzuki Gemma!

Here's a write up from our friend Kuroneko in Japan. He gives it a good comparison to the Yamaha Morphous (Maxam) and the Honda Helix (Fusion). Take it away Neko! The Gemma is 100mm shorter than my Maxam, so it feels considerably more nimble on the road. Corners and lane changes are a lot less barge...

• Review: SYM RV 250 Maxi Scooter

This video is a bit different that what we've done before. There were so many bells and whistles on this machine I decided to just use the video to cover them. The link to the actual review will be post in the next couple of days.

I'm in QLD but I believe the Vectrix is rated as a 250cc in all states.

• Review: 2008 QLink Commuter 250

What?! TSS reviewing a Chinese scooter?! Yes, we did. I would definitely suggest checking out the writeup over at Motorcycle.com that goes with this video... and even though I've had more than one person say that the name "QLink" reminds them of some sort of breakfast sausage, I think they've...

• Re: Vectrix Maxi-Scooter

Have you checked with your local Council? I have also asked @ shopping ctrs, car dealers, tyre repair places (they often have accessable ppoints outside), pretty much anywhere I ride. I just tell them it will cost maybe 30-40 cents for a couple hours. Most say OK. I also usually leave some brochures...
