well folks the dream is alive! - The dream of the proud owner of a VESPA.... i never thought i'd ever get one, with low k's, young in age, with warranty etc within my extended budget!!!

 I went to see those two Vespas and i bought one!!!!

I bought the 2007 LX 125 - smick - it's got a few little stone chips on the front guard, but not that obviuos really, otherwise it's perfect!!! 1800 k's, 12mth warranty left, rego till 08/09. Got it for $4,200.

I took it for a test ride and also tested the 150, while the 150 had a bit more power, i felt that the 125 was enough for me at this stage. Plus the 150 had a good scratch on the side that was blatently obvious that i didn't like, plus it was $5,400 and he wouldn't budge AT ALL!! I didn't like the big scratch anyway.....

So the dream is alvie, now i'll lock it up till i get my licence on 15th december and then i'll be out and about!  I'll pick it up next week - my friend who rides a 650 Honda is going to ride it home for me!!! That'll be a change for her!! haha

Just need to get a helmet, gloves and jacket now.......i like those Corozza jackets - they're stylin!

So, thanks everyone for all your patients, your responses to my at times probably crazy questions - it's helped me in my decision!

 Welcome to the club of Vespa Veggie. I saw the deal that you found & instantly thought - WOW!! The Corazzo jackets are nice, go for a Speedway now we're heading into the warmer weather. As for the helmet.. how about a Nolan N30? it's the retro-styled so looks the goods with the beautiful Vespa shape.

Have you mentioned what colour your lovely new bike is? I can't see it...

 Thanks..... i'm so excited - it's mental and you must have ESP as i was looking on the net at the Nolan N30....i think i've gotta have one of those for sure!! I'll check out the speedway jacket as i think i was looking at the 5.0 one.....but hadn't totally sussed them out etc.

 The bike is blue - like a sky blue, not the pastel blue vespa but the other more like the sky....

I think i got a good deal, i'm happy with the price and it's still under my budget of $5k - just gotta get the accessories now!

Any idea how much the Nolans are and the Corazzo's? Any suggestions for gloves??

well not really - just the licence he he - but not long! at least i can polish and polish and polish my bike and make it really beautiful and look at it every day and get excited about buying the accessories etc in the meantime!

 Yep it worked a treat. Love the metalic blue of the paintwork. VERY nice. You'd better be careful about the gear & accessories you decide on as you don't want to find yourself clashing with that beauty!

you really do have ESP don't you ScootaChic - i thought the Corazzo, with with black/silver stripes and a black Nolan helmet with the white strip!! but will have to go look at them!!! WOW WOW WOW

 ESP? Not at all. I'm just totally addicted to everything about scooters & Vespa in particular. Well... except for the classics maybe, I haven't really started looking into those yet, there's plenty of modern scoots to keep me happy for a fair while.

Congratulations on the LX125, it's beautiful. I think the style of the 5.0 and the N30 is going to suit the style. The N30 comes in some retro stylin' pastel colours too. My wife has the white 5.0 and loves it, she went for the N42, cos Its got the flip down tinted extra visor. Well done, great price also.

Nice work Veggie, v. cute. Now all you need are the accessories to go with it! Scoots are a great excuse to go shopping... If a Corazzo is a bit exxy, the RJays Octane (summer mesh with rain liner) comes in a shade of blue that would complement your lovely new purchase. In fact, the Joe Rocket summer gloves I have might also work, black leather with blue mesh. Then there's the in-between weather gear, the winter gear and well, you might need another pair of pants, or boots, or gloves, or sunnies, a visor, or...um, must be other things to buy?! Good luck with your learners & have heaps of fun on your new scoot. PP

thanks Piollionp - just checked that one out on-line, doesn't look bad....the colour is pretty good hey! I will be out and about over the next few weekends to get the gear sorted so thanks for the heads up!

I couldn't sleep last night with excitement..... i just can't believe that the dream is finally alive!!!!
