Hi all :) I am really keen on buying my first scooter within the next two months. I was initally keen on the idea of going for my motorbike licence and getting a motorbike, however since I have had not much experience I came to the logic that starting with a scooter would be more ideal.

 I have looked around on the net on various sites for the past 2 hours just reading reviews and finding out more about scooters. One scooter in particular that has so far appealed to me is the Peugeot Speedfight 2 RCUP. It looks really cool, however the price is fairly expensive compared to many other scooters. What do you guys think of this scooter? One concern about this price I have is, I think I would grow out of this scooter and prefer a more powerfull one, I dont know?

Secondly, Is it true that 50cc scooters are limited to 50km/h? If so, I read there is an option to remove this speed limiter, therefor the scooter will reach top speed of 60 km/h?

 That's all I have at the moment I'm sire I will have more questions later.

hi josh; i just bought a speedfight 2 this morning.  if you are in melbourne, good luck because there are hardly any left, all three stockists have only yellow ones left.  the rcup was the white one, which was my first preference, but they didn't have them.  thankfully, i found my second choice which was the red one.  lemme know if you're in melbourne and i can tell you what i paid for it and where and stuff.

also lemme know if you know of a place that sells Draggin and Hornee kelvar jeans cheaply.  actually, i don't know how much they are meant to go for.

oh, and by the way, the speedfight is actually a 100c scooter.  don't believe what you read on the peugeotscooters.com.au website specs.

Yes they are restricted to 50km/h, it is illegal to derestrict regardless of your license status (holding a bike license). Things like this will do more than 60 de restricted. Pug has a good range of premium 50's but the pricing is up there with things like Yamaha Aerox & Aprilia SR50 which are my pick in this class/ price range.
