    Dealer review...

I got the first service done of my Fly today since i have owned it, it is at around 8000km... so i have put some kms on it in the last 3 months... around 6000km!!!  anyways the scooter was running a bit rough and starting to not sound so great etc.... Anyways I have a trip planned to Denmark this weekend... gonna be around 900km round trip maybe even 1000 if we go sight seeing etc, which is highly likely.... anyways so I get the scooter back this afternoon, after getting a new rear tyre and a few other things done...

WOW.... they have made the scooter run 100% again.. I love it... so to any Perth riders looking for a great service and really great people too... get your butts over to Ace... they did a REALLY good job with my scooter, I thrash the crap outta my scooter and with the tender love and care applied by Ace, it is ALL GOOD again...

So thanks Ace and perth people really should go there for a service!!!

My 125 Fly really does Fly... over 120km/h :p

Phht! Steve talks too much. Get him talking about scooters & he'll never stop. Keith... well, Keith is Keith. As for me... the less said the better.

I guess I can't really give a review of Ace any more as anything I say would be considered to be biased, but when I was merely a customer the things that impressed me about the place was the willingness to not push a particular model (as long as it's a Vespa  Wink) even if it's inappropriate for the prospective buyer, the knowledge & willingness to share that knowledge, the fact that they advertise the driveaway price without springing any hidden nasties as the last minute, the way they'll allow people to come in ask questions test ride a bike or two & go away to think about it... Shopping for scooters at Ace is a vastly different experience from some of the other places I've visited.

Now to be found "working" at Ace Scooters (sales, accessories, coffee maker, dish washer, gopher and general stirrer).

    Re: Dealer review...

There are two dealers that I put in the same category.

    One is Steve @ Ace,

And the other is Scooter HQ

To them it's just not about selling you a scooter, it's about selling you a lifestyle.  There is so much passion there in these guys, it is not just a  job to them, it is a life, and a passion, and quite possibly an obsession.

You are not pushed into anything, if you want to buy you will buy, you dont need a salesman telling you you want to, having walked in the shop, you have already made a decision.

With HQ I have found they dont just become your dealer, your mechanic, but you also gain a friend. Everyone who works there, from D'Arcy & Brendon, down til poor ol Tim & Wayne out the back slaving away to get our scooters off their floor and back on the road as quick as possible (without sacraficing any part of your scooter), so they can see their customers smile again :)

A great dealer is one, who knows what they are talking about, knowledgable on every product they sell, not pushy but helpful, and will know which scooter is best for you, regardless of if its a 50, or a maxi.  (Example:  I was thinking about a new scooter, Brendon told me to come and try out the Sportcity, as he thought it would be perfect, but having said that he also had me test ride everything in his shop, to see what I prefered, and he was right).  And when you walk in the store, be prepared to be there at least one hour, as you can't shut these guys up!

They will go out of their way to help you, and will not charge you a bomb for the priviledge!

If I lived in Perth, then I would be dealing with Steve, I know that for sure.  But as I am in Brisbane, it's Scooter HQ for me!

    Well said Daks.Yes

A passion for what they're doing, an interest in the people who walk in the shop, knowledge of the lifestyle, products & requirements for riding a scooter, a willingness to share that knowledge, honesty & integrity.

Even though I'm quite a distance north of Scooter HQ (16-odd hours drive), I was very happy with the service I got with quotes.  Kinda wish they were up here!

    Mentally unstable like a fox!

Shiny Black VS125 "DJ" is in the house! ^^

I know from experience of living in Mount Isa, it is mainly dirt bike shops in Townsville, and even then you have to be picky!

But there has to be one there that can look after you, shop around, talk to people.  I am sure you will find someone worthy of your scooter
