Northam Motorcycle Festival, show'n'shine, camp, Nov 29/30

Is anyone interested in going to Northam for the weekend? 29th/30th November (my b'day is on the 29th! hehe) for the Northam Motorcycle Festival? It's basically two days of Autotrader show'n'shine (with scooters too!),I was thinking maybe we could get a group together and setup as a club/group for the show'n'shine. All ride up there, stay the night, ride back Sunday sometime. It would be good if we could get a whole variety of scooters together for it!

FMX, (yamaha showtime FMX team and KTM super moto aus finals)

stunt bikes (Matt Mingay, Cam Ambridge)

bands playing at the Avon Valley Rock's Concert (hoodoo guru's and Jon Stevens (noiseworks) )

bike displays and shops (accessories, etc)

    Moto Trials, etc.

It's 9-5 each day, the concert is till 10:30, there's accomodation (camping) at $20 head (with security) or plenty of other places about in Northam to stay.

I'll say a tentative yes but that will depend on work requirements. If you give me details as well as maybe accomodation suggestions I'll send out an email tonight. Are you aware of a website for the event?

well the "M.A.D." ride is on Sunday. I was thinking of going up for the whole weekend. I've got no idea what the biker crowd are like. If they're a bunch of drunk maniac's whilst camping then it might not be a great idea haha. I've got friends that live on a farm in Tammin (100km's further east of Northam) which I could stay over night, but it's a fair ride just to sleep and come back again.

Maybe we just all meet up on Sunday morning and do the M.A.D. ride from Mundairing to Northam.... two days might be overkill.

On another note, I've been in touch with the organiser of the perth bike and scooter show (sept 2009) about putting in a "club" display... it's a fair way off yet, but could be something cool to think about. it's at the perth convention centre.

Sept? I thought it was April? That sounds like it could be some fun! We could hand out Scooter Community stickers, put up a display of photos from group rides etc Maybe Allen could come over for the event? Just a thought. Big Smile

I think their web site says sept..

if we could put on a display it would mean having our own scooters on display in the show. a nice mix-up.. I used to be quite involved in car shows, with a show car, etc... it's fun stuff, not as much hard work with a scooter! hehe

Silverflyer, will you be organising a meeting point around Perth somewhere or are you intending to catch up with others at Parkerville?

How did the MAD run go Silverflyer? Were there many scoots? Do you have any happy snaps?

Your mate Dean (he used to ride the ET2) dropped in to the store today. We tried to sell him a GTS300 Super but he left with an oil filter instead. Atleast now he's considering a floor mat for his GTS250ie. You can't win em all I guess Wink

Will have to bring him along on a coffee run soon. Big Smile

Hi ScootaChic I went with MAD group, I only saw 3, 2 X9's and open framed 150ccish looked like it had been drop and taped back together, and myself makes 4. We left in smaller groups and never saw them at the show or on the way home. Greg
