 2 Sep - Tonights dining experience will be at the Himalayan Char Grill in Crows Nest

Meet between 7.30 and 7.45 at the restaurant. 

There is parking on the roof of the supermarket - the restaurant is inside the shopping centre.

BTW - the Himalaya was superb !!! Butter Chicken to die for !!

Highly recommended and cheap.

 Hmmm... The Forum was actually rather average - but it did remind me of Athens where the maitre'd tries to drag entice you in off the street...

Damn,  I'm sorry I missed Leichhardt,    perhaps I can make Darlinghurst next week.

To be honest,  I'd read a previous thread and assumed incorrectly that you were only doing this on the North Shore..... my mistake 

 We go all over the place Deklan - and anyone is welcome to join us.

We like to try a different style of dining each week so if you know of any GREAT places we'd love to hear about them. We try not to go over a $20-25 budget and usually we can get a really good feed for this amount or less.

When spring and summer kick in - we'll start going further afield.

This week we are meeting on the corner of Crown and Cleveland St in Surry Hills.
There are lots of good cheap restaurants down that end of town - so we are gonna wander up and down the street and see what takes our fancy.

All welcome.

 Last night we ate at the Holy Cow on Cleveland St... what a great place !!! Butter chicken to die for and really reasonable prices.

We then went in search of tiramisu* for dessert. We managed to find the WORST tiramisu in the whole of Sydney at the Pana Cafe on Crown St. Even the coffee was foul... and I can drink just about any crap coffee (even german coffee) but I couldn't drink this shite.

 *for the last 5 weeks we have been in search of Sydney's best tiramisu... the best so far is at Bar Reggio in Surry Hills but it still has a long way to go to match the tiramisu I had in Venice... ever hopeful
