Another fine day in the country!!

Big Smile Hello, just a quick note to share my joy at having my 10,500km Nexus, after a brilliant service performed by MyScooter at Drummoyne last Friday, collecting it back on Saturday, new front tyre, new belt/rollers, spark plug, oils, adjustments and a few fiddly things attended...great job! So far the Nexus has been faultless!

    Love the ItaliansAngel

Well, after a cold Saturday night I ended up re-fitting the GTR front screen to the Nexus this morning and headed off into the backroads... Only a short ride, about 120kms but I enjoyed the renewed performance, simply love those Brembo brakes; and the chill factor was about 8C !

Stopping for a fuel-up and snack at The Oaks I continued back to Warragamba, having run in the new front tyre with a very minimal chicken-strip at the end of the dayCool lol

Only a couple of pics, all the beaut country briskly passed me by - one day I'll stop more and take some nice scenery shots...despite the sun,  the chill factor was about 8C !

    Blue sky and sunny!!">

    Sexy Italian !">

Yeah, it's a Gina Lollobrigida of scooters I'd say Smile

I doubled up on the piccy posts, there was two of each of the same pic, boy it was a chore to fix that up LOL, not the easiest forum to play with Tongue Tied

Thanks for the comments guys Cool, and I don't disagree one bit.... my pics usually reflect that very feeling I have whenever I stop... and stare at itStick out tongue

But, aside from the looks, it does go just a nicely!!!

This last ride on Sunday I took some lovely backroads from Cobitty to Mt Walker (back of Camden), and it tracks beautifully around bends and if in doubt I grab handfuls of those extremely sexy Brembo brakes and I get overlapping thrills all through the ride... it's a real fun ride at any speed...

And, to add fuel to the fun, that suspension ride-height adjuster on the rear really transforms the handling from comfy, soft highway cruise to very naughty 'OMG it corners amazingly fast' type-ride.. such a well thought of design...

That's why I'm keen on getting another new ride beside the Nexus, and GTR... the Ducati HM... I also have a bad back which bothers me when I lean forward on bikes now, so the Nexus is great for that, but the GTR unfortunately isn't working out too good... whereas the HM has an upright position, (lol, that's not me in the last pic... as if ) ..smooth as and light, skinny and very naughty performance.... LOL I'm a glutton for fun!!!

I was interested in the Fuoco, but really - after the service last week the Nexus is still very much my baby!!!

YesLovely part of the world, Wisemans Ferry !! Among one of my favorite 'round the block' rides. Did you come in from the east (Spencer)? and how was the moss in the shady parts? It gets quite slippery during the cooler times 'round that wet area, but a great route.

I stayed home most of this wonderful sunny day and attacked the garage removing a ton of junk making room for my new delivery during this week....can't remember when I last had a perfectly clear floor-space in the garageSurprise

Big week ahead, my 3rd 'child' arrives SurpriseStick out tongue  and looks like a nice bit of rain ahead to go with it tooAngry

    Bring on the spring time!!!

I ended up taking the GTR out for a quick (battery maintenance) spin down through Picton, Oaks, Camden and back... never fails to please; left around 2.30pm didn't see one copper about then, of course I always stay within the legal limitsAngel  and that new 4-lane M5/M7 junction area seems to be working nicely, normally I avoid that on Sundays, smooth as today!!

Good to see your adventurous scooter pics Pete,  when it warms up we should plan a little group ride Big Smile

Came up Pennant Hills Rd, out to Dural then to Wisemans, over river to Spencer, Mangrove Mountain, Peats Ridge, Old Pacific Hwy to Berowra then freeway to Wahroonga. It was damp in some of the shady areas and cold after three. but basically a straight forward run.

That's a great Scooter Opa. i love the colour. I wonder what that colour would look like on the X8.

I've googling the internet for a taller screen but haven't found anything. Because I'm 6ft I get a lot of wind noise from the standard height of the screen on the X8.

If you have time to hesitate, then you're already too late. Ride safely everyone.

try the Italian websites or Italian accessory shops, they usually have more gear and variety, although my new screen ended up costing $24,000Ick! 'cause it's off my GTR... but , think it's about 4"?+ higher, makes a wonderful difference...otherwise.. wear earplugs.. they help with the wind noise.... I often do, adds to the comfort on longer rides.

    Thanks Opa.

I'll try the earplugs first. I know a couple of the guys on the group rides have them in but I wasn't sure whether I would feel safe not being able to hear the sounds around me properly. I will give it a try though.
