Last night I received a letter in the mail from the Albury City Council, asking for $22 per household to 'purchase' additional water from the murray river from the powers that be. It bloody annoys me because the ACC like to sneak in water usage at 4.30am - 5.30am and sprinkle their round-a-bout gardens in the main CBD. I see these sprinklers pissing out water onto the gardens during my daily morning walk, and then they overflow into the drains, and then back into the Murray. To buy additional water this summer from the murray, then tip some back into the murray doesnt make sense!!! Lets just say... purchase $11 worth of water per house hold, and put the other $11 into an envelope and send it to Allen. 101,000 people should be about 40,000 or so households, thats $440,000 to Allen.
There you, environmental chat....
