I'm so jealous, congratulations for getting it all together so quickly! I went down to scootercentral today and had a quick spin around curl curl on the back of a scooter with the lovely Murray to get a feel for being on the road. I'm definitely hooked, now my husband is trying to convince me to get a 250cc instead of the 125cc we had planned!

I think I will def go for a Vespa - they are just such classics... Probably the LX125 as well! Dunno if I will find a good 2nd hand one, might go with new - not really sure of finances yet.

Best of luck with getting the licence and I can't wait to come out on the road with you in January once I get mine all sorted!

Nice one Veggie.  Welcome to the Vespisti!  The official colour of your scooter is Azzuro Sky, so yeah, sky blue.  Very nice indeed, and you got it for a good price.

i can't reveal that information yet.... you'll have to wait to see the clown re-appear on her scooter!!!

It will be hard, but i must because it would be very stupid to ride it and crash it and then have no vespa and no insurance and nothing!! and then the clown will be very very sad!

I will spend the next three weeks getting my gear sorted, polishing and cleaning and looking after my bike and making it the smickest thing on the road!!! WOW

hello hello! i know it's happened so fast but i'm so excited!!! If your looking for a good deal the guy i bought the 125 from has also got a 150 exactly the same as mine...... he would probably take $5300 for it, 1100 k's rego till next year august and 12 mths warranty - comes with top box as well and a cover - if you've been researching that is cheap.... it has got a slight scratch on the side....... check it out on bikesales.com.au it's the only one with the picutre of the two bikes together etc - he's in botany

Otherwise... YES for sure - it'll be fun and we can go for a ride when you get sorted, even meet up and do one othe organised rides, third sunday of the month - but it will need to be organised as a "newbie" ride as i'm not keen on getting out far in the first instance!!!!!

Keep us updated on your progress....... it's so much fun!!!

 

 Congratulations Veggie.  Sounds like all your research has paid off.  Love the colour and yes, you got a good price for such low kms.  Although the test date seems a long way off, the good news is that you will be riding before Christmas.  Well done and, yes, welcome to the enthusiastic scooter owners and riders' family.

I was lucky enough to check the RTA website at the right time this afternoon and I am booked in for my training next Friday! Keep checking veggie and you might be on the road earlier than you think!

 Scootercentral has a stunning 2nd hand LX150 for $5990 - might talk to them about that once I get my work/lease negotiations sorted out!

NO WAY!!!!!! - i'm so jealous now of you!!!!!! ha ha - you might be on the road before me!!!!!! ha ha  I can only go on the weekends to do the course anyway, so i'm not as flexible with the dates.....

Yep - they do and i also saw that one too....but it doesn't have a top box (add $400-500) for that and when i spoke to them they where'nt very negotiable and i'm not sure of the year model - i think it is an 06 - from memory i think it had low k's, but can't be sure! .... you really should consider taking a look at the the one the guy has that i bought mine from........it's a pretty good scoot (despite the scratch) It's had it's first service and all.....

Thanks Mike.... yes all my hours and hours and days and days of study have paid off  - thanks to everyone on here for all their help and patience etc....
