    Perth - Ace Scooters Monthly Group Ride - 6th Dec

    The time is quickly approaching for the next monthly Ace Scooters group ride, which is due to happen on the 6th of December.

    The meeting point will be at the shop, at 2/10 Mercer Lane in Joondalup, from 1pm but come earlier if you want to have a look at the shop. I expect that we'll head off at 1.30pm. The route taken will depend on who turns up on the day. To make attendance even more enticing we've asked our local coffee van lady to come along to sell coffee to anyone in need.

    If you can't make this one don't despair as these things are a regular fixture happening on the first Saturday of every month.
    Now to be found "working" at Ace Scooters (sales, accessories, coffee maker, dish washer, gopher and general stirrer).

     isn't the xmas charity bike ride on the first saturday in december?

     You could be right. I haven't heard anything.

    I've sent an email to the person responsible for PR of the event asking if they would welcome a contingent of scooter riders, what speedlimits etc might be involved & how we could go about registering etc for the event.

    Stay tuned.

     Actually... CBR is in the morning, when I'm working(!), the Ace ride is in the afternoon so we should be right. I would have loved to attend. Oh well.

    As part of the Ace Scooters hosted ride the winner for the Momovember prize will be drawn just before closing time at 1pm. If you wish to enter the competition then get a move on! Any donations submitted before 1pm Saturday, either online or at the store on the day, still go into the draw to win the $600 Momo helmet.

    If I had a scooter, and wasn't working staurday night, then I would be there.

    I've cleared it with the boss, the finance manager and chief bottlewasher so I'll be there! Yay!Big Smile

    Was thinking of taking the Vespa out for a ride this weekend so a ride there would good she has not been out for ages, will bring donation cause I'm gonna win the helmet !!!! Big Smile

    Looks like I won't make it , to get there by 1pm from here would have to hit the freeway at about the same time as the charity ride so might have to leave this one

     That's a shame! Do you HAVE to use the freeway? I always take the cost, or river, when heading to Freo & back.

    Wow lovely pics Steve... Thanks guys for allowing me on a ride... most enjoyable, much appreciated [However... confusion now reigns re single file Vs stagged formation]>>>> (Discussion with Mrs Tekema, and I tend to agree, if a slower 50cc scooter is in the left postion near the kerb and I stagger myself out to the right, I lose some buffer space and I am moving slowly in an outer postion and all my intuition is telling me to move over for safety and manouverabilty?) Open to discusion, as found heaps of varying views and rules on group rides etc
