    Hello Everyone,

I've updated my profile picture - i hope you like it!!

I wondered in speeding up the process of getting my bike (when i get my licence and the bike!) can anyone suggest good competitive insurance co's in NSW and Greenslips for your experiences.

    Thanks for the tips!

QBE seems to be generally accepted as doing the best deal in town.

Ditto what Clarry said. There was a post about insurance in the last few weeks, with some comments about other insurers (Arista and Insuremyride). Maybe do a search...

i got quotes from insuremyride, QBE and myscooter as well as AAMI. Insuremyride were the cheapest by about $50 and i could pick the level of gear cover( i got $1000 of gear cover but it went higher i cant remember what the highest was)  also i could use my no claims bonus from the car... and didnt have to find proof, as QBE would do that but wanted us to fax proof.. which is just a hassle as we dont have a fax machine... also insuremyride were alot friendlier on the phone when i had to call them... QBE just didnt seem all that bothered with me to be honest! BTW AAMI were very cheap but had no gear cover... as they dont really specialise in that... someone recently said insuremyride were aami, but our policy is underwritten by suncorp....

anyway, shop around! cos they do vary alot! Smile

If the weathers good. I was thinking of going early and trying a spin around west head on the way. If I can get there before the rangers arrive that is.

Sorry for hi jacking your thread Veggie.

    I've gone with QBE myself.

Although... is it a standard for insurance companies to only mail their forms so that they arrive with only 1 (or 0..) working days to return it? ... They'll say their on-the-phone quote is good for 14 days... yet they'll wait until day 12 or so give you the Cover Note & such.. :/

An update on that-- they've now twice sent me the wrong Cover forms for lesser/worse coverage I didn't ask for.

An intentional Bait-and-Switch, or just gross employee ineptitude... :/
