Hi,

I just got a bowell jolie, and really want to take it to work and back.  I got to go through a 70 zone and the little mighty jolie maxes out at 65 at the best!

Is there any simple mods I can do to get it to go just a few Ks faster or maybe a slightly sharper acceleration?

I been reading about getting a thinner air filter, and removing bits from the exhaust, any of them work?

 talk to your local shop about what they can do but I put on a performance exhaust and race cylinder, changed the rollers and upjetted the carby.Thus making it for off-road use only ;-)

If you just want sharper acceleration - change the rollers or put in a race variator.

 There isn't any exhaust restrictions on the standard exhaust.

They work just like a placebo does.

To make a Jolie go take a Gianelli Go exhaust & variator. Make's them go quite well, looks & sounds standard..If you are on the cheap & want a couple of extra K's you can go up one size on the rear tyre (check clearance through), might get you another 4-5K's depending on your weight. Check tyre pressures too

There is one getting about that will see 120 on the GPS but it is nolonger legal for road use

Any ideas on where to Gianelli Go exhaust or something with a same performance level in adelaide or interstate shop where i can get it sent? show n go in here only has one called TechniGas or something like that, which is $329, & over my budget!

Also, any ideas on how much different to top speed does changing the exhaust alone makes?

Just changing the exhaust will probably net you around 8kph increase depending on a few factors.
