Its quite possible that you got a bit of moisture in there, but that its now passed through. If there is a lot of water then you might not notice until you give it full belt then it will pick the water out from lower in the bowl in the carbie and you get dramas. If you want to check for sure, then drain the carbie via the screw near the bottom and look at the fuel that comes out. If you can see two distinct liquids, or what looks like bubbles (petrol and water don't mix), then you've got water in there.
But if its stopped doing it, you may find that you are now Ok. Water in fuel is a pain in the sphincter when it gets into your carby.
