Kymco Agility 125 givi break light kit

Hello, I have been scouring the internet trying to find a resource that will help me install this breaklight kit. I got the wires in the top case, but my problem is finding the right connection in the scooter. Does anyone have experience installing the Givi light kit?

I have some photos of my attempts so far:

Here is my scooter! A beautiful Agility 125:

To get to your engine you have to remove the seat + seat storage box. You DO NOT have to remove the seat FROM the box. Just remove the 4 bolts and the screw in the front. The screw in the front is connected to a little square bolt thing that popped off when I lifted the seat out of the frame. Nothing broke, but it was surprising.

So once the seat is off, you have access to the engine area. This is where I got stuck, because the manual I was using (http://www.scootercommunity.com.au/files/folders/bug_kymco/default.aspx ... Section 02 Frame Body Exhaust) says, "Remove Center Cover"

Ok... that doesn't help me. Are there any screws? As you can see in the picture, there seems to be some plastic tabs, but they are in there REALLY tight, and I didn't want to crack the plastic by forcing them too much. I also seem to have clear access to some wires, but nothing is labeled, so I don't know if what I am seeing is what I need access too.

So this is where I am. Do I try to force those plastic tabs? can I attach the breaklight wires to any of those wires I have access too?

Scopa!! firstly let me say, brilliant post. Photos are clear and sweetly labelled.

The what's this is your starter solenoid of which is mine playing dicky at moment. Only stops working when I've had a long, hard shift and don't feel like kicking it over

    To answer you question....

    scopa:

Yes, you could, provided you've got the right ones. (oh der!!!! he says...)

Iwas about to do mine and was just going to go in through the actual tailight assembly until I found that I had to take off the side panels to get to the wires anyway.

Those tabs you pointed out will pop out with a bit of forcing. If you look closely at the photo 6th down and see the inside of the "seam" if you apply a little pressure on the outside panels it will help the tabs pop out. Don't go tyrannosaurus on it just firm pressure. You should be able to see how the tabs are pointed and could even pop your finger down and help lever them off their little panel "locks" (for the want of a better term)

     Where abouts are you?

look at clean your engine bay is????? Dang!!!

Cool! Thanks for the response and letting me know what that "thing" is! The scooter is so clean because it is only a week old :)

I could have paid for the dealership to install the Top Case, but they were going to charge like $100 so I decided to do it myself and treat it as a "get to know my scooter" experience. The only problem is that there seems to be ZERO information about how to do this particular modification. So I will continue to document my way through this process in the hopes that it helps out other folks.

I guess the next step is to man up and go back to work on those plastic tabs. I was just seeing visions of the red plastic cracking... so I backed off and decided to post pictures in the hopes that someone would be inspired to respond. Thanks again!

I was also hoping someone would say, "oh ya! Hook the givi wire to that green one you have easy access to! no need to take any more pieces off!"

    But I guess not. haha

    BTW, I am in SF.

    Southern France???

I wish I could help you a little more directly but I'm not ready to pop off anymore panels until I'm ready to repaint them and i've got to make a time for that as it's my commuter and is always needed.

    check this out.

http://www.scootercommunity.com.au/files/folders/bug_kymco/entry5751.aspx  Nah that tells you nothing helpful!!!

butjust another thing? Unless you've already thought of it, factor in a quick release connector near the base of your topbox and might aswell try and make it a waterproof one while you're at it. Just incase you need/want to remove your topbox!!!
