    Geopolis 400

Here are some pics of my Peugeot Geopolis 400. I bought it on my way to re-visit Aprilia with the intention of ordering a Sacarabeo 500. The Pug people organised a ride on a 250 and on a Satelis 500. The Aprilia people had done nothing. I then bought the 400. The Satelis didn't feel much faster than the 250 and was not as responsive for directional changes

Weight: I'm curious why the dry weight was originally stated as 202 kg but is now revised to 167 kg. That gives me a better calc on the power/weight ratio as I still feel Scarabeo-envy, particularly the red. Does anyone knoew what the weight changed

    Fuel consumption: 1st tank: 4.6 l/100 km, 2nd tank: 4.3 l/100 km.

Acceleration: I'm always interested in finding comparative data but they are hard to find. I did a count at 8 sec for 0-100. It gets along quite well.

Experience: I don't have much riding experience and have been practising a bit including in today's rain (and wind). The Geopolis feels alert and comfortable.

I intend to ride to work and gave up my car park in North Sydney (at $545 per month)

    Photos: I can't attach anything

Hi while www.thescooterreview.com (Top Gear for scooters) does state that sort of information, I'm not sure if those bikes in particular have been reviewed yet. Maybe you should give them a nudge along Wink

    Silverflyer might know too.

Now to be found "working" at Ace Scooters (sales, accessories, coffee maker, dish washer, gopher and general stirrer).

Currently riding a Vespa GTS250ie. Hopefully this will be the last time I upgrade. For a while atleast.

the weight of 167kg is usualyy the 250cc(piaggio quazar engine) and the heavier model is of course the 400cc(piaggio master engine).

the satelis is a heavy beast. not quiet as manuoveable as a 250cc engined scooter but it never will be.

straight roads just connect the corners

The Satelis needed more skill perhaps. The Geopolis might have flattered me a bit with its responsiveness.

The 250 weighs 159 kg, the 400 167 kg, then one big step up to 213 for the Satelis. I was thinking the Euro Geopolis might have been de-specced for Oz
