Mine's the standard, I didn't see the need for the added expense for the 'S' and it was black too, already have a black bike, the 1400GTR and one tends to loose the visual style of the bike in black, well I think so... I do love the Nexus in red, and seeing the HM in the flesh, in red is most luscious
The 'S' has a special coating on the front fork tubes to make them 'perform better', and monoblock brakes (each made from one block of alloy) otherwise they're the same; S also has a certain type of Ohlins rear shock, no doubt it's good, but there are better Ohlins out there if you are into them..and the S has another type of parmesan wheels (cant spell the real name LOL), they apparently weigh next to nothing... again... the bikes are identical except for these few items (probably some more I've omitted)... care factor 0 - I like to buy things, it will soon be outfitted with lovely bling
I took it out early Sunday and went down the east coast and up Macquarie Pass (mostly wet roads up the hill) and came back via backroads through Mittagong/hilltop - I was doing more than double the advisories on most bends in comfort, and on some I totally stuffed up (glad I was alone
), but I can feel that it's got insane cornering ability once I get used to it; never thought I'd be one to wear those funny knee-pad thingy's, but I think I'll need them on this
;
But, you know, after i got home and cleaned the bugs off I was too stuffed to go out again, so I wheeled the Nexus out of the garage and parked them side by side and sat there with a cup of tea and thought... aaah, what a nice pair of beauties!!!!
Life's good!
