    Daelim NS125 II oil pump

     Hi Guys

I bought a second hand Daelim NS125 II some years ago. After a few days the oil pump packed up and the engine seized. I was told the oil pump should have been modfied with a newer version.

I am about to biy another one (because i quite enjoyed my first one despite its problem). Its also a NS125 II but a few years younger.

How do I check to see if the oil pump has been rectified

    Cheers

Not aware of any issue's with the oil pump with the NS125. It's been get them out of the box & pre deliver them, no mods to anything.

    Where are you based?

     Hiya,

    Thanks for your fast reply.

    I am Gibraltar, Southern Europe.

The mechanic who rebuilt the engine commented that there was a problem with the oil pump for NS125's of my age. Something about a bit being metal and not nylon..

Anyway the bike started makeing a loud whirring noise and after 5 k's it cut out. I was in Spain at the time so I got an spanish scooter workshop to pick it up and sort it. Prob is that the idiot spanish mechanic did'nt clean out the metal fileings etc. So after another 20'ks the engine ate itself.

This time i was in Gibraltar so a good mechanic (a german by the name of klaus of all things) fixed it. I was a bit wary of the bike so I sold it within a few weeks.

Now I look at one that is going quite cheap.

    Cheers
