I was riding next to him as he overtook a VS125 on the freeway, with maybe 15kph difference in speed. I would be interested to know if there has been any work done to the scoot, or if it is just a good 'un.

    Scarabeo 500ie.

Well I am going up to Ace tomorrow (Thursday) to try out a Beverly (dammit that is a bad name!)  This should be fun, and thanks to Steve for letting my come give it a rip!

If Steve behaves he might even be allowed to have a go on my Fly, just to verify the nutso speed it has... Surprise

My 125 Fly really does Fly... over 120km/h :p

I test rode a Beverly last week end and it turned out to be a really good scooter. It has a 250ie quaser engine that are just fun to ride with fantastic get up and go combined with great hill climbing ability. The scooter is very well balanced, and with the big wheels, handles excellently. The only thing I didn't like was the wind screen which seemed to push all the air straight at my face rattling my visor to distraction. What is it with these screens? Can you adjust them? I guess it's Piaggios version of the Scarabeo which I've yet to try. Which one is the better scooter and is there that much difference? I suspect there might be some good deals around on the Beverly because no one likes the name.

What did he do to the fly?.

I went up to ACE and test rode a Beverly... man they are nice bikes, so is the GTS 250 ie...

Now the real question is still, Scarabeo 250ie or Beverly.... actually i would love to test a Beo 250GT, but don't think there are any around to test... hmm more feedback on a direct comparison of the engines would be great, cause i have read that the power delivery is very very different between a carby and IE in scooters...

Damnit this decision is harder than the election!!
