I have issue with getting a licence for a vehicle that is under 150cc. I have a 125cc i it will do a top speed comfortably of 95 kmh.
For me it means that unlike a 50cc i can actually safely sit in with the flow of the traffic. That means in my mind it is a safer vehicle.
It takes no extra skill for me to ride it as it is like riding a 50, but you're not a piece of moving traffic island.
It bugs me that you need to get a licence for anything under 150cc. If anything I think they should take 50ccs off the road and make it compulsory for any vehicle
to travel the road it should be able to reach and maintain traffic speed, then i would understand why i have to have a licence.
Why is it that you can ride a 50cc on the road on a car licence, which is potentially more dangerous than a 100cc plus size scooter?
but to get the safer vehicle you need that bit of paper? My first car was capable of around 200kph, but my only restriction was for the first 9 months i could only take passengers with a licence of more than 2 years, i don'y understand why a 50cc scooter is seen as safe not to have a bike licence on.
Most of the people riding 50s, and i am not saying all, just can't ride them. They should make people start on a 100cc plus scooter.
this has turned into a rant....... bet it does not make sense.
