Where does the Maxi start? I thought the Maxi was catorgarised as a larger scooter. Like my Piaggio X8 for instance.

    Re: maxi question

My Vectrix all electric feels like a Rolls Royce, altho it can be a bit wetter than a Rolls in the rainy season. I love the electric Maxi because it can get me somewhere quickly, with it's bigger size it's more visible, it has good storage capacity and I love not having to pull in to a petrol station! Of course I am constantly on the lookout for potential power-points. And most people/businesses are obliging.

Hey that's cool. I don't know much about electric scooters. What capacity is it? How far can you ride between charges?

    Re: maxi question

It's rated as a 250cc. Goes up to 105 km/hr. The slower you go the further you go. In town you'd get about 80-90km and on the hwy just depends on speed. If I go about 80 (on the flat) I'd get about 50km, @ 90 I'd get about 35-40 & @ 100 I'm guessing 25km or so. It also regenerates up to 12%, has reverse, and weighs in at over 200kilos.

    Re: maxi question

It's a shame the range still isn't there otherwise I'd be really interested.

That's a fair weight for a scooter but probably most of that is in the batteries.

Sounds good though... and you're looking after the environment.

    Re: maxi question

Yes, I reckon in the next year or so they will be increasing the capacity with lithium-ion batteries or something even better. That in itself will increase the distance because of the lighter weight. I'm looking forward to 200-300km capacity. It's out there now. Come on guys. Lets go!
